Fluids (blood, urine) and tissue samples (deposited in a cryoprotectant) are stored in freezers at -80°. Temperature recording is continuous 24/7 (Océasoft® and Sirius® systems). In the event of temperature problems, the secure system is coupled with an alarm raccorded to qualified staff.
Samples are stored in dedicated rooms with air conditioning and secure access. In case of a freezer breakdown, emergency equipment located in the same room, is used to save the samples.
The procedures put in place by the structure guarantee the staff safety and the cryopreservation of the samples under quality assurance.

 

Biological database

The TK® (TUMOROTEK) software enables the traceability of samples and the recording of the associated necessary clinical annotations. It is possible to access the :

-Patient consents

Pre-analytical non-conformities

-Locations within the storage enclosures

-Various events: preparation of derivatives, requests for availability, registration of disposals, etc.
